ALMOST A LULLABY
The "Almost a Lullaby" music box set includes songs suited for falling asleep. The set is truly a intimate experience from the packaging to the music. The music features various artists encompassed in the folk/indie genre. The first album, "Nature walk" includes more upbeat songs perfect for a forest stroll. The second album, "Lost for a moment" is a mix of soft and upbeat music. Then the third album, "Doze" is entirely made up of songs to doze off to.
        The idea for this concept came to me when I was on a calm walk in the rain. It was important to me that the tangible items reflect the music. I used the photographic process of cyanotypes to create the visuals for each album. I thought since cyanotypes are such a personal way of making an image it would emulate the music well. Each album cover for the cassette tapes connects into a full image, and when stacked they read "Almost a Lullaby".
